Accounting Clerk and Administrative Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, well organized accounting assistant and administrative assistant. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with Intuit Quickbooks software.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts receivable transactions and maintain accurate records of all payments.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address billing inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Maintain data entry accuracy for all financial transactions using accounting software.
  • Support payroll management processes as needed, including data entry for Intuit payroll system.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and relevant financial regulations.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and benefits administration is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and double entry bookkeeping.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for account reconciliation tasks.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high accuracy in data entry (10 key typing).
  • Previous experience in accounts payable, payroll and accounts receivables or general ledger accounting is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
