Admin Role - Excel Expert

We are seeking a detail-oriented, "spreadsheet master" type individual to manage our store's inventory process.

We have over 350 SKUs in our store. Ideally, we never run of product in the store, but we also don't want more than a month's worth of product sitting on our shelves. You'd be the one to make sure this happens. Here are the specific steps you'd engage in to accomplish that:

1) Monitor inventory levels in the store and make sure that our point of sale system accurately reflects what we have on hand

2) Run daily reports that forecast what we should order

3) Submit orders to our various vendors

4) Pay invoices for orders

5) Process the deliveries we receive, entering the new deliveries in our point of sale system

This job offers flexibility both in terms of when you can work and where you can work.

You should expect to work at least 1-2 hours every day (including Saturdays). Much of this work can be done remotely but you should plan on coming into the store at least every couple of days. From a planning perspective, you should view this job as a 20 hour per week job. Some weeks might be more, some might be less.

Our store is located on the west side of the Twin Cities, near the intersection of 394 & 494 in the Minnetonka / Plymouth area. So ideally, you either live on the west side or you have existing responsibilities that place you in that area already.

The ideal person is going to be incredibly detail-oriented, a quick study, bright and analytical.

You need to have expertise in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Please do not apply if you don't consider yourself well-versed and very comfortable with these tools.

After an initial interview, you will be given some exercises to complete. These will test your capabilities in both Excel and Google Sheets as well as your overall analytical abilities and your attention to detail.

When you apply, please describe as specifically as you can your capabilities with Excel and Google Sheets. Please also describe previous experiences that demonstrate your attention to detail and how you are a "quick study."

Here are more details regarding compensation beyond what this form allows:

During your training period, you will be paid $20/hour. How long or short that training period is depends upon you and how much time it will take you to learn what you need to learn and demonstrate that you've mastered everything sufficiently. At that point, your pay will increase to $25/hour with additional bonuses based on performance and longevity in the role.
