We are seeking a dedicated and passionate After School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will be responsible for guiding students in their academic and personal growth. This position requires effective classroom management skills, creativity in lesson planning, and the ability to engage students of various backgrounds and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning environment
  • Supervise homework assigned by schools, offer help as needed
  • Provide support for students with special needs or learning difficulties, ensuring an inclusive classroom experience
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative educational environment
  • Plan engaging activities, field trips
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational practices

Qualifications

  • Minimum of high school diploma/GED
  • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to implement behavior management strategies
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development theories
  • Ability to engage students through creative activities such as sports coaching, theater, or tutoring
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
