About the position

As an Amazon Fulfillment Center Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customer orders are prepared and shipped efficiently. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for various tasks related to inventory management and order fulfillment. Your primary duties will include receiving and organizing inventory, preparing customer orders for shipment, and ensuring that all products meet quality standards. You will be part of a team that operates in different areas of the warehouse, including merchandise handling, customer returns, and general fulfillment operations. In this role, you will be required to select, pack, and ship orders, sometimes for our expedited delivery service that promises delivery within two hours. You will utilize scanners to read bar codes, follow prompts on screens for task direction, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fulfillment process. Additionally, you will operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts and pallet drivers, and may work at heights of up to 40 feet, for which training and certification will be provided at no cost. Physical demands of the job include lifting up to 49 pounds, pushing utility carts weighing up to 60 pounds, and performing various movements such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout your shifts. You will also need to adhere to strict safety, quality, and production standards to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. The work environment at an Amazon Fulfillment Center is dynamic and can vary in temperature and noise levels. You will be surrounded by moving machinery and may need to wear protective gear. The company emphasizes safety and provides daily safety tips to all teams.
