Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and strategic Assistant Director to join our childcare center team. In this vital leadership role, you will oversee daily operations, support educational programming, and foster a nurturing environment for children and staff alike. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of exceptional early childhood education while managing administrative responsibilities with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Duties

  • Assist the Center Director in managing daily center operations, ensuring compliance with licensing and company standards
  • Lead curriculum development efforts to promote engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences aligned with educational best practices
  • Support staff supervision by providing coaching, conducting evaluations, and fostering professional growth
  • Collaborate on strategic planning initiatives to enhance program quality and community engagement
  • Manage budgeting processes, including resource allocation and expense tracking to maintain financial health
  • Participate in fundraising activities to support center programs and community outreach efforts
  • Represent the center through public speaking engagements, community events, and parent meetings to promote our mission

Qualifications

  • Proven management experience in early childhood education or related fields, with supervising experience preferred
  • Strong background in curriculum development, classroom management, and education administration
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and build cohesive teams
  • Effective public speaking skills for engaging with parents, community partners, and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and fundraising initiatives
  • Knowledge of working with students across various age groups and classroom settings
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration or related field; advanced credentials are a plus
