Duties and Responsibilities
As a Marine Interdiction Agent, carry out marine-centered law enforcement to detect, prevent, apprehend, and intercept terrorists, weapons, contraband, and individuals attempting illegal entry or assault on the U.S. Typical responsibilities include:
- Monitoring behavior patterns and activities of suspects.
- Utilizing radar to calculate intercepts for successful interdiction.
- Conducting searches of persons, vessels, baggage, and cargo for contraband or weapons.
- Gather, refine, and analyze strategic intelligence.
Qualifications
Candidates for the GS-11 level must possess a Merchant Mariner Credential. Additionally, you qualify if you have one year of specialized experience at a similar level, performing tasks such as:
