Civil Engineering CAD Drafter

RHC Engineering is a growing business located in downtown Seattle with a focus on transportation infrastructures. In this position you will be a detail oriented and organized CAD Drafter to support our team of dedicated engineers. We expect a self-motivated team player with previous drafting experience on bridges, walls and other structural elements made of steel and concrete. The candidate would be able to work independently with minimum supervisions on a variety of tasks, which include, but are not limited to:

1. Drafting of plan, elevation, and section details for bridges, retaining walls, foundations, and other structures using AutoCAD and Microstation software

2. Incorporating survey base maps into structural engineering plans

3. Implementing CAD standards of different agencies into daily productions

4. Supporting engineer’s quantity takeoff and engineering design needs

5. Creating 3D structural models using professional CAD tools

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Associated degree in Computer Aided Design

2. One or more years of experience in drafting for bridge, retaining wall, or foundation design in accordance with WSDOT, King County, or City of Seattle CAD standards

3. Proficient with variety of drafting software including MicroStation, InRoads, AutoCAD, Revits, or Sketchup

4. Familiar with concrete and steel structural detailing

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $32.50 - $68.50 per hour
