About the position
The Custodial Worker II at Nisqually Red Wind Casino is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and team members. This role involves performing various cleaning tasks throughout the casino, ensuring exceptional service and adherence to hospitality standards. The position requires a positive attitude and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Provide general cleaning of bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, emptying garbage, and cleaning working areas.
- Deep clean areas needing additional attention including floor treatments, high dusting, window cleaning, and pressure washing.
- Operate specialized cleaning equipment such as the cardboard baler, riding shampooer, and street sweeper safely and effectively.
- Report to Custodial Shift Lead regarding any issues or problems that arise on assigned shift.
- Provide training to new Custodial Workers, fostering a positive culture and work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of professional cleaning experience in a casino, hotel, warehouse, or similar environment.
- Ability to train on and operate specialized equipment such as the cardboard baler, riding shampooer, and street sweeper.
- Ability to obtain certification in Aerial Work Platform Operation and Safety.
- Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Permit.
- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
- OSHA 10 certification.
