Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 10+ Senior Business Bankers and Business Development Bankers in developing new deposit, treasury management, cash management, and credit opportunities.
  • Manage performance of individual team members, holding all Business Bankers accountable for achieving production goals and business priorities.
  • Prepare and deliver semi-annual and annual performance appraisals.
  • Formulate and implement a program for business development and customer deepening by identifying the customer and prospect base within the market.
  • Organize resources, focus officer calling programs, supervise sales staff activities, and make joint calls on important prospects and large accounts.
  • Provide ongoing group and individual training for Business Bankers regarding sales techniques, calling strategies, product knowledge, presentation skills, and SBB practices and procedures.
  • Work directly with business bankers to research potential prospects and guide them in capitalizing on opportunities to close sales.
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation is submitted for proper loan underwriting, depository accounts, and treasury management policies.
  • Develop a strategic plan for the market within the region.
  • Monitor and manage ongoing market performance to established objectives.
  • Maintain a sales culture within the region consistent with corporate sales strategies and objectives.
  • Recruit and maintain an active pipeline of candidates within the market.
  • Actively participate in civic and cultural organizations and programs.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of Business Banking experience.
