About the position

- Assisting the Facilities Manager by supervising facility aspects of restaurant management at the market level.
- Performing facility maintenance and repair through monthly site visits and analysis of restaurants.
- Formulating preventative maintenance schedules for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of restaurant facilities.
- Carrying out set procedures in the event facilities cease functioning or present a threat to health and safety.
- Training managers, crew, and other restaurant staff on managing and maintaining restaurant facilities.
- Ensuring staff are following facility maintenance practices and procedures correctly.
- Conducting detailed facility maintenance and repair seminars.
- Providing comprehensive maintenance visit recaps to the Operations Team and Regional Facility Manager.
- Identifying issues contributing to higher maintenance costs and communicating them to management.
- Providing guidance on maintaining and updating facility records.
- Performing equipment and building repairs regularly.
- Conducting new store turnover and inspections with contractors and the Operations Team.
- Serving as a liaison between restaurants, landlords, contractors, and vendors for repairs.
- Assisting Operations Team in investigating and escalating facilities issues as needed.
- Representing facilities at operations management meetings and communicating back to management.
- Providing field support to the Development Department regarding regional initiatives.
- Communicating contractor deficiencies on repair projects.
- Completing other duties to advance projects or resolve business issues.
Requirements
- Strong trade knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, commercial cooking equipment, appliance repair, and basic HVAC/refrigeration.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations governing facilities safety requirements.
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple schedules effectively.
- Clear and patient communication and training skills in facility maintenance and repair concepts.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for travel between restaurants.
- Responsible for safe driving as per legal requirements.
- B.A./B.S. in a related field or equivalent education and experience with two years of training in facility repair and maintenance.
