Front Desk Receptionist/Customer Service
About the position
Responsibilities
- Serve as a backup for the Front Desk Administrator.
- Provide phone and scheduling support.
- Act as a backup for the Office Manager.
- Activate new patients and request information from doctors' offices.
- Take accurate and detailed logs of communication with patients or clinicians.
- Verify benefits and authorizations by working directly with patients and insurance companies.
- Obtain and update all insurance verification and authorizations using multiple methods.
- Collaborate closely with the billing department, Front Desk Administrator, and Office Manager.
- Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional organization and time management abilities
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Gmail, scanning, and printing
- At least 1 year of experience related to medical reception, medical billing, or medical office.
