Front Desk Receptionist/Customer Service

About the position

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a backup for the Front Desk Administrator.
  • Provide phone and scheduling support.
  • Act as a backup for the Office Manager.
  • Activate new patients and request information from doctors' offices.
  • Take accurate and detailed logs of communication with patients or clinicians.
  • Verify benefits and authorizations by working directly with patients and insurance companies.
  • Obtain and update all insurance verification and authorizations using multiple methods.
  • Collaborate closely with the billing department, Front Desk Administrator, and Office Manager.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional organization and time management abilities
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Gmail, scanning, and printing
  • At least 1 year of experience related to medical reception, medical billing, or medical office.
