Hostess/Cashier
Job Description:
As a Cashier/Hostess at Kinya Ramen, you will play a vital role in providing customer service to our guests from the moment they arrive. You will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of guests in and out of the restaurant. You will also handle cash transactions and assist guest needs to help contribute to creating a positive dining experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and seat them at their tables
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart
- Provide guests with menus and answer any questions they may have about the menu or restaurant
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently using POS systems
- Handle cash transactions, including processing payments, making change, and balancing cash drawers
- Work with other restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
Requirements:
- At least 16 years old
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred, not required
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
