Line Cook (Toronto to New Brunswick - Accommodations Available)

We are a staffing agency that provides temporary and permanent staffing solutions to various clients in the hospitality industry. We are currently hiring for Line Cooks to work for our client located in the Saint Andrew's area of New Brunswick.

This is a full time seasonal position, you must be legally able to work 40 plus hours in a week. Must hold a Valid SIN and Work permit.

Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Line Cook's to join our clients team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry and possess excellent culinary skills. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing to a positive kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for menu items
  • Prepare and cook menu items as per client specifications.
  • Strong plate presentation
  • Ensure all proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and timely service.
  • Ensure quality and consistency of food products.
  • Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to restaurant recipes
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals
  • Help with inventory management and stock rotation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working in a kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures and techniques
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Smart Serve License (preferred)
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of basic cooking methods and techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Certification in food safety is a plus

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
