Line Engineer
<p><strong>Title: Line Mechanic</strong></p><p><strong>Location: Saint-Laurent, Quebec</strong></p><p><strong>Duration: 12 Months</strong></p><p><strong>Shift: Rotating Shift</strong></p><p><strong>Pay rate: $36.36/hr</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Main Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ensure the setup and safe, efficient operation of packaging lines.</li><li>Perform product changeovers, prepare and adjust equipment according to standard times, production schedule, assembly, and packaging instructions.</li><li>Perform in-process quality checks during packaging.</li><li>Implement improvements on the line to increase efficiency.</li><li>Check the condition (wear) of critical line parts and replace them when necessary.</li><li>Execute work orders within your area of expertise and close them in the SAP system.</li><li>Troubleshoot breakdowns and explain causes as well as preventive actions to avoid recurrence.</li><li>Maintain setup sheets.</li><li>During operations, carry out required tasks as described in the standard work to ensure smooth line operation and teamwork.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Basic Qualifications:</u></strong></p><ul><li>DEP/DEC in Industrial Mechanics, Electrotechnics, or Electromechanics.</li><li>Experience on pharmaceutical, food, or industrial packaging lines (ideal).</li><li>French language required.</li><li>Good team player and quick learner.</li><li>Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Good computer skills.</li><li>Knowledge of vision systems is an asset (EXA, Systech).</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).</li><li>Knowledge of various OHS aspects (lockout/tagout, etc.).</li></ul>
