Maintenance Utility Operator
Hours: Monday through Friday 7AM to 3:30PM!
Pay Range: $22-$25 an hour.
Key Responsibilities and Performance Expectations:
- Complete daily and weekly tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
- Conduct daily extruder inspections, including filter cleaning, lubrication, oil levels, and condensate pump checks, ensuring 100% operational readiness of all systems.
- Perform daily inspections, oil level checks, and lubrication of auxiliary equipment to help ensure optimization and production uptime.
- Complete daily blending system equipment inspections and lubrication, aiming for zero unscheduled maintenance or breakdowns on blending systems.
- Aid Maintenance Technicians in maintenance tasks as available once daily tasks have been completed, contributing to a 10% increase in team efficiency.
- Complete minor facility maintenance and repairs, reducing overall facility-related downtime.
- Contribute to 6S and TPM programs, improving workplace organization and production efficiency.
- Perform repairs or rebuilds on wearable parts with a target of reducing part replacements.
- Complete all assigned tasks on time, contributing to the overall team’s performance by maintaining an 85% task completion rate.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Strong assembly skills and basic welding abilities are a plus.
- Experience in dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environments with a demonstrated ability to meet daily operational needs.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to apply them effectively in troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both management and team members.
- Must be self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks in a 24/7 manufacturing environment with minimal supervision.
- Must be flexible with work schedules, as needed, to accommodate business needs.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Advanced education and/or related certifications preferred
- 1 year in manufacturing role with technical skills
- Forklift Certification preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
