This job opening is for the position of Storekeeper within United Airlines' Technical Operations team. The technical operations department comprises a broad array of aviation professionals including aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities experts, and supply chain teams. Together, they ensure that the airline's aircraft are well maintained, safe, and ready to provide seamless service to customers worldwide. As a Storekeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining the supply chain and inventory management operations that support aircraft maintenance and flight readiness. This role involves the physical handling of supplies, equipment, parts, and materials critical to airline operations, both in maintenance bases and line operations. The starting pay for this position is $20.99 per hour according to the collective bargaining agreement, with additional bonus eligibility such as profit sharing. You will handle packaging, labeling, and organizing materials in a safe and orderly manner. The position demands physical labor such as heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, and navigating confined spaces, as well as operating vehicles and equipment like forklifts, trucks, and carts. You will also be responsible for tracking inventory using computer systems and ensuring compliance with safety standards when handling hazardous materials. Familiarity with reading and interpreting instructions and documentation to prepare kits for aircraft change orders and services is essential.   • High School Diploma, GED or education equivalent
  • must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • basic ability to convert units of weights and measurements
  • valid state issued driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • flexible and willing to work any shift in a 24/7 operation including early mornings, afternoons, late nights, weekends, and holidays
