Position Summary

A leading manufacturer of high-precision components for the aerospace, defense, and nuclear sectors is looking for a qualified Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician. This role focuses on inspecting complex machined parts using Magnetic Particle (MPI), Liquid Penetrant (LPI), and Nital Etch testing methods. Candidates must have relevant certifications and hands-on experience inspecting parts with tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform non-destructive testing using MPI and LPI on high-precision aerospace and nuclear components
  • Interpret results of visual inspections, nital etch, and other NDT methods in line with industry and customer standards
  • Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports
  • Operate and calibrate NDT equipment according to defined procedures and industry regulations (NAS410, CGSB)
  • Evaluate product conformance to drawings, specifications, and tolerances
  • Participate in procedure development and contribute to quality improvement processes
  • Maintain inspection tools and assist in ordering necessary supplies
  • Perform white light and manual visual inspections as needed
  • Collaborate with production and QA teams to ensure product quality throughout the workflow

Qualifications

  • CGSB Level 2 certification in Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant Testing
  • Certification must comply with NAS410 standards
  • Minimum 5 years of experience inspecting tight-tolerance, high-spec machined components
  • Experience with nital etch and visual inspection techniques
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding customer specs
  • Solid understanding of inspection math and geometric tolerancing
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and currently residing in Canada

Education

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary technical training in a related field is an asset

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
