Patient Service Representative - La Conner, WA

About the position

Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for patients, setting a positive tone for their experience.
  • Exhibits empathy, courtesy, competence, efficiency, and care in all interactions.
  • Schedules appointments and procedures according to standard guidelines.
  • Utilizes multiple computer and phone systems to fulfill patient needs over the phone.
  • Verifies patient information and documents it in their Electronic Health Record (EPIC).
  • Advises patients on their responsibilities regarding insurance and referral information.
  • Makes outbound calls for health maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
  • 1+ years of customer service or patient service experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with basic computer software including Microsoft Office suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1+ years of experience in a medical office or clinic setting.
  • UCB/ACD Desktop phone system experience.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
  • EPIC experience.
