Job Duties
- Collect specimens according to established procedures (e.g., drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams)
- Administer oral solutions as trained
- Research test/client info, verify orders using lab systems, contact clients
- Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data
- Obtain identification, enter billing info, and collect payments as needed
- Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep)
- Perform non-patient duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, emailing
- Follow departmental policies, protocols, and procedures
- Assist with statistics and data submission
- Maintain phlebotomy logs timely
- Complete training courses promptly
- Travel to additional sites as required
Required Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA
Work Experience
- 1-3 years phlebotomy experience preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Keyboard/data entry experience
