About the position
The PowerSchool PowerScheduler Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the PowerSchool Student Information Systems application utilized by the META consortium, with a specific focus on the PowerScheduler application. This position requires a deep understanding of best practices related to Master Scheduling and Live Side Scheduling within the PowerScheduler framework. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate data reporting, providing software and operations support, and addressing data communication needs for META and its associated districts. A strong foundation in the educational sector, coupled with exceptional customer service and technical support skills, is essential for effectively assisting consortium members and clients. In this role, the PowerSchool PowerScheduler Specialist will coordinate, plan, and deliver training sessions in collaboration with the META PowerSchool Team. They will serve as a primary point of contact for customer support related to core PowerSchool functionalities and any customizations made by META. Daily responsibilities include resolving user inquiries through the Salesforce case management system, providing technical support, and acting as a liaison between META and its consortium and contract districts. The specialist will also be expected to research and master the software utilized and developed by META, ensuring they can provide comprehensive support and training. Additionally, the specialist will work collaboratively within a team to deliver services related to PowerSchool, develop and distribute training materials, and manage reporting through all software used by the consortium and contract districts. Participation in software meetings and performing other assigned duties will also be part of the job description, making this a dynamic and engaging position within the educational technology landscape.

- Assist in coordinating, planning, and delivering training meetings with the META PowerSchool Team
- Communicate with and provide customer support as it relates to core PowerSchool and META Customizations
- Assist in day-to-day resolution of user inquiries via the Salesforce case system
- Provide technical support and act as a liaison between META and consortium and contract districts
- Research and master the use of software used and developed by META Student Information Systems
- Work in a team setting to provide services related to PowerSchool
- Develop, create, and distribute training and support manuals related to PowerSchool
- Operate, manage, and report information through all software in use by our consortium and contract districts
- Serve and attend software meetings as assigned
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written communications
- Knowledge of educational software and support; ability to work with school staff and educational entities
- Ability to multitask and execute duties per deadlines with accuracy
- Previous training and experience in the PowerSchool or similar Student Information System package preferred
- Previous experience creating and distributing documentation preferred
- Valid driver's license & insurance (position may require limited travel)
- Willingness to undergo background checks including BCI and FBI reports
