As a Principal Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering innovative civil engineering solutions for a diverse client base — from local authorities to national developers. No two days are the same. You’ll work on a wide variety of challenging projects, balancing preliminary and detailed design across roads, levels, drainage, and external works — in both public and private realms. From inception to commissioning, your expertise will help bring projects to life and make a lasting impact. What You’ll Be Doing <ul><li>Lead and contribute to multi-disciplinary projects, managing design of highways, drainage, and external works.</li><li>Use industry-leading software (Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, or PDS) to deliver innovative, efficient designs.</li><li>Engage with planning authorities, statutory undertakers, and national bodies to shape solutions that work for all.</li><li>Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their unique needs and building long-term relationships.</li><li>Mentor and support junior engineers, helping the next generation of talent grow and thrive. </li></ul>What You’ll Bring <ul><li>Strong technical expertise in Civil Engineering design, from concept through to delivery.</li><li>Proficiency in design software and confidence in adapting to new tools.</li><li>Commercial awareness and a clear understanding of client needs across public and private sectors.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at every level.</li><li>A collaborative, positive mindset — with the drive to lead, mentor, and make a real impact. </li></ul>Why join BWB?
