Sales Manager, New Construction

<p><strong>Sentinel Dock & Door Solutions</strong> is a Canadian company that provides commercial dock and door services. Established in 2025 by Trivest Partners, a private equity firm, Sentinel was formed through the acquisition of several regional service providers: Lenworth Building Services, Pro Door & Dock Systems, Mar-Lin Dock & Door, Door Doctor and Secord Docks. These companies specialize in the installation, repair, and maintenance of overhead doors, dock levelers, and related equipment for commercial and industrial facilities.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Door Doctor</strong> located in<strong> Montreal (Lachine), Quebec </strong>is seeking a <strong>Sales Manager, New Construction </strong>to lead both sales development and execution of new construction projects. This is a key leadership role that combines business growth with project oversight. The successful candidate will work closely with General Contractors, trade partners, and internal teams to deliver high-value construction projects on time and within budget.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Sales & Business Development</strong></p><ul><li>Identify and pursue new construction business opportunities, building a strong pipeline.</li><li>Engage and gain buy-in from General Contractors and stakeholders at all project stages.</li><li>Promote and sell construction solutions in partnership with trade professionals.</li></ul><p><strong>Project Management</strong></p><ul><li>Lead construction projects from pre-construction planning through close-out.</li><li>Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestone schedules.</li><li>Manage project budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets ($10–$20M+).</li><li>Allocate labor, materials, equipment, and resources efficiently.</li><li>Regularly travel to job sites to oversee construction progress and resolve on-site issues.</li></ul><p><strong>Team & Stakeholder Coordination</strong></p><ul><li>Supervise field teams and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals.</li><li>Act as the primary liaison with general contractors, vendors, and internal teams.</li><li>Facilitate communication across departments to drive clarity and accountability.</li></ul><p><strong>Quality Control & Compliance</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure projects meet all technical specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.</li><li>Conduct quality checks and implement corrective measures when necessary.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Skills & Qualifications:</u></strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>15–20 years’ experience in construction, preferably in industrial or material handling</li><li>Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field</li><li>Strong knowledge of dock levelers, seals, doors, flat plates, electrical setup, and material handling equipment.</li><li>Proficient in reading civil, architectural, and structural blueprints.</li><li>Experience in HVAC, electrical systems, decking, and large-scale industrial</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal teams, clients, and contractors.</li><li>Strong sales acumen and relationship-building ability with trade partners.</li><li>PMP certification (asset)</li><li>Must be a -Bilingual (English/French)- Francophone preferred</li><li>Strong project management, leadership, and vendor coordination skills</li><li>Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to lead cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.</li></ul>
