Fairport Harbor Exempted Village School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated School Nurse to support the health and wellness of our student population for the 2025–2026 school year. This position is 7 hours per day, 184 days per year, in alignment with the academic calendar.

The School Nurse plays a critical role in promoting a safe and healthy environment by providing direct care to students, managing chronic health conditions, administering medications, and serving as a liaison between school personnel, families, and healthcare providers.

 

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Provide professional nursing services and emergency care to students and staff.
     

  • Develop and implement health care plans for students with special health needs.
     

  • Monitor immunization records and ensure compliance with state requirements.
     

  • Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.) and maintain accurate health records.
     

  • Collaborate with school administrators and staff to support student health and safety.
     

  • Promote health education and wellness within the school community.
     

  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
     

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

 

  • Valid School Nurse Endorsement through the Ohio Department of Education.
     

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
     

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
     

  • Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred.
