Software Developer - Power Query Developer

<p><strong>Position Details:</strong></p><br><p><strong>Title: </strong>Software Developer - Power Query Developer</p><br><p><strong>Type:</strong> Contract</p><br><p><strong>Shift/Core Hours</strong>: 40 Hours</p><br><p><strong>Location: </strong>Toronto, ON- Hybrid (3x/week in office)</p><br><p>Compensation: $70-80/hour</p><br><p><strong>Interview Process: </strong>1-2 Rounds (In-person- white board sessions)</p><br><p><strong>Day to Day:</strong></p><br><ul><br><li>Designs, implements, and maintains data analytics and reporting solutions for Project Portfolio Management.</li><br><li>Communicates with project and portfolio management practitioners to support adoption of the reports, help validate data, and solicit feature requests.</li><br><li>Works with SMEs to understand data requirements and translate them into data models.</li><br><li>Assembles large, complex data sets, identifies logical connections, and automates data validation and ETL processes.</li><br><li>Contributes to the evolution of the Project Portfolio Management processes and tools.</li><br></ul><br><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><br><ul><br><li>Strong technical background with proven experience in using Relational Databases, implementing data quality, analytics, ETL and Reporting.</li><br><li>Hands-on coding proficiency - no exceptions (MS PowerBI M language, Oracle SQL, JIRA JQL)</li><br><li>Excellent problem-solving abilities and Software Engineering background.</li><br><li>Must be outcome oriented, delivery and execution capable, able to identify risks and quickly resolve issues, influence outcomes across multiple organizations, platforms, and stakeholders.</li><br><li>Able to think abstractly and reduce complex issues and/or solutions to simplified, actionable tasks.</li><br><li>Must be able to work with minimal supervision.</li><br><li>3 - 5 years defining/establishing solutions for complex corporate systems.</li><br></ul><br><p><strong> </strong></p>
