Software Engineer Intern - Summer 2025
About the position

This internship role is designed for current students pursuing a BS/BA or MS/MA in a technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or Statistics, with an expected graduation date around December 2025 or Spring/Summer 2026. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about solving challenging problems, eager to learn how to build scalable and robust systems, and excited about the prospect of having a significant impact on software that millions of people use and love. Interns at Netflix will have the opportunity to work on real projects that solve complex business problems, engage in scalable system design and architecture processes, and write high-quality, performant, and industry-standard code. They will collaborate closely with business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment and build user interfaces that are intuitive and engaging. The internship is designed to provide a personalized experience, matching interns with projects based on their interests and skill sets, and embedding them within teams for the summer. Internships are paid and last a minimum of 12 weeks, with start dates in May or June 2025, depending on school calendars. The internships will be located in either the Los Gatos, CA office or the Los Angeles, CA office, conditions permitting.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Current student pursuing a BS/BA or MS/MA in a technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or Statistics. ,
- Expected graduation date around December 2025 or Spring/Summer 2026. ,
- Coursework or relative experience with data structures, algorithms, and debugging. ,
- Fluent in any one of the following programming languages: C, Java, Kotlin, C++, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, or Rust. ,
- Ability to work independently and seek out suggestions from team members. ,
- Clear communicator, concise and articulate in speech and writing.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Distributed Systems, Web Development, Mobile Development, Network or Application Security, Machine Learning or AI.
