Division Director for the Department of Technology Management and Budget
This position reports to the General Manager within the Department of Technology Management and Budget as a member of the CTOs senior management team. The Division Director works with DTMB leadership to formulate and implement the departments mission, policies, strategic plans, and directives, as well as the organizational structure where appropriate. The Division Director maintains strategic relationships internal and external to the state, including the governors office, agencies, legislative branch, suppliers, and external IT associations. For the assigned area, the Division Director is responsible for the coordination and direction of work for a team of both state employees and contract staff.
Duties are met with a combination of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual activities. The Division Director ensures policy and compliance requirements are met. They ensure the product and service management portfolio aligns with the strategic plan. They oversee workforce and talent management. They oversee the continual improvement program activities. They oversee budget and financial activities. They seek to improve customer and employee satisfaction.
Position Location / Remote Office : The office location is Dimondale, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. Two years of experience as a professional manager or program / staff specialist, or equivalent experience.
Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and three years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
