Dallas (Downtown) or New York (Manhattan) Offices (onsite) Do you have experience as a Technical Writer and have worked in a construction or architecture environment ? Are you detail-oriented, curious, and keen to grow your skill set? If so, this could be a great next step for you. We're looking for a Technical Writer who's interested in developing into a Specifications Writer . No prior specifications experience is required—we'll provide full training and ongoing support to help you succeed in the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with architects, and engineers to identify and document appropriate building materials, assemblies, and systems Prepare comprehensive project specifications and manuals using established master specification content Provide technical input and guidance throughout the design process and during construction Support project teams during construction administration with specification-related reviews and responses Conduct product research, analysis, and comparative evaluations Assist with technical problem-solving and detailing as needed Contribute to quality control efforts related to documentation and specifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience) - advantage 3+ years as a specifications or technical writer Familiarity with specification management software is beneficial
