Warehouse Cargo Agents - JFK Airport

WAREHOUSE AGENT (JFK Airport)

Starting Pay: $22/per hr. + $5.55 HTA supplemental pay
(27-hours per/wk.)

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for moving air cargo within designated warehouse.

· Load and unload cargo from pallets and containers.

· Build up cargo for outbound flights.

· Break down cargo from import flights.

· Facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo to and from semitrucks.

· May operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklift, aircraft pallets and pallet jacks.

· Check freight for proper piece count, weight, dimensions, and documents as appropriate when accepting or delivering cargo.

· May transport cargo to and from aircraft driving 3,000 lb. vehicle using depth perception to negotiate vehicle with attached carts through congested area. Read "off-load" sheets to determine destination of cargo.

· Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aids.

Essential Requirements:

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

· Valid Driver's License

· Warehouse experience preferred

· Must have availability between 3PM - 7AM

· High school diploma, GED or Equivalent.

· Ability to read, write, and fluently speak and understand English.

· Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays.

· Ability to judge distances.

· Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Must be able to work in an environment with aircraft activity.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.55 per hour
