Warehouse Specialist

Our company is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling goods, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety regulations. Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and relocate products efficiently and accurately.
  • Verify product counts during loading and unloading processes.
  • Utilize scanning devices for inventory management, adhering to our quality control standards and product handling guidelines.
  • Rotate and combine products in the warehouse according to product type and code date.
  • Repair breakages in the re-pack room and return as much saleable product to stock as possible.
  • Perform continuous cleaning, painting, and minor repairs to warehouse, building, and outside areas.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and minor repairs to equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet riders, floor scrubbers, and other equipment safely.
  • Adhere to OSHA guidelines at all times.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Basic mathematical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, squat, kneel, and reach overhead frequently.
  • Experience in operating and controlling mechanical equipment such as forklifts and floor scrubbers.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and ability to enforce them.
  • Powered Industrial Truck training and certification.
  • Desirable: Forklift experience and ability to obtain a valid Kansas Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Physical Demands

This role requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting of objects up to 160 pounds, pushing, and pulling required of objects up to 340 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.

Work Environment

The role involves exposure to various weather conditions as work is performed both inside and outside the building. It also includes exposure to cold temperatures while in storage coolers for counting, checking code dates, and rotating products.

Offered compensation: $16/hr - $17/hr
